YouTube Project:
Road Trippin'
So, the base of this trip was to experiment: can two people who already say they get along stand to be in the car with each other for 4-6 hours straight?
The results were surprising. Not surprising in my view, is the fact that this video was shot a few years ago, and the good nature and comradery has stayed steady through the years.
There is much to say about two people in a closed space for a period of time. Says ELLE-1 of the trip:
"Being in a confined space that is constantly moving, while discussing topics that range from self help to tacos, can be taxing on people. I don't think people in general take this into consideration as much as they should. This may be because they were trained in the beginning that extra precautions is "work" which equates to something to be avoided.
"Physically, sitting in an area for a long period of time can cramp the muscles, which leads to crankiness. Driving does require concentration that strains the eyes, increases your appetite, and requires a more intense level of concentration than usual. They stress driving safely for a reason! Because of this, we take this into consideration and prepare for it when we plan a trip. It keeps the frustration levels down and keeps the trip focused on why you did it in the first place: to have fun and enjoy each other's company!"
