Book 1 — The Unknowing
Clara wakes in a hospital with no memory. She discovers she’s been performing assassinations she believed were dreams, married to a man who is not what he appears. Her unveiling occurs in Chapter 11 — the impossible event that changes everything.
Book 2 — The Awakening
The illusion thins. Clara runs to Vincent’s colleagues for help — discovers they are demons too. She attempts escape through lucid dreaming. The book ends when she accidentally sends Vincent to the Void.
Book 3 — The Reclaimed
Clara’s freedom is brief. Leopold moves to claim her. She meets the archangel aspects, learns the truth of the Darkness Virus, kills Leopold, and inherits everything he was holding — including trapped dreamhost souls.
Book 4 — The Counterbalance
The Council declares Clara a threat. She hides with the archangel aspects, then chooses to return to Vincent. The Vow Renewal. She sees the Darkness Virus for the first time — not an infection but a presence. And it knows her.
Books 5 & 6
Clara’s full discovery of her Draconian origins, the deeper nature of the Darkness Virus, the fate of the trapped dreamhosts, and the resolution of Vincent and Clara’s arc.
Soren & Nia
Dark romance · Present-to-past timeline. Runs parallel to Series One. Nia’s ability is “much more complex” than ordinary sensitivity — she subconsciously pulls doorways open and lures dangerous things through them.
Soren’s dreamhost and wife. She subconsciously pulls doorways open and lures dangerous things through. Her friendship with Kristoff — and his death — is the catalyst that changes everything. She helps Clara kill Leopold. Two unveiled dreamhosts, each changed by what they survived.
Controlled, precise, carries himself like high-quality steel. Dry humor masking absolute intention. His obsession with Clara causes him to lose his hold on Nia — the mistake that sets her free.
Nia’s first real friendship inside this world. They meet at Kuro & Ember on Valentine’s night. His death during Leopold’s attack becomes the grief that fuels Nia’s fury and her first act of vengeance.
Nia’s former boyfriend. Soren rewrote her memories of him — one of the first signs of the control she didn’t know she was under.
Demon Protocol
Supernatural thriller · Demon hierarchy & mythology. Goes deeper into the Council, the Family Order, the Darkness Virus, and what lies behind it all.
Ranked above Vincent Cain and Soren Joyce’s class entirely. Demon Protocol is written in his voice — the rules, the structure, the architecture the others live inside, explained by the one who set its terms.
The authority that maintains balance across all dimensions. They declare Clara a threat. They question Vincent: “What are you becoming? Are you compromised too? Are you too attached?”

Rare humans whose energetic signatures allow them to shape and anchor reality through their dreams and emotions. Claimed by handlers for “balance.” Almost always lose their free will, their memories, and eventually their life.
Ancient beings assigned to dreamhosts. They claim partners not merely for sustenance, but for balance — to wash away chaos and begin each reality anew. Also referred to as balancers.
When a dreamhost awakens — activating free will, consciousness, memory. Almost always fatal. Clara survives hers in Book 1, Chapter 11. Nia and Beatrice follow in later volumes.
